Many people enhance their homes by replacing a ground floor window with a patio or French doors. The door generally needs a bricks and mortar step to bridge the height between inner floor level and ground level. This step doubles as a small raised patio area to add extra interest in the garden and is large enough to sit a double bench seat on to catch the sun.
